There’s no shortage of things to do in Sandy, from spending an afternoon at the Dimple Dell Recreation Center to taking part in the annual Sandy Balloon Festival. The former is a premier recreation center with swimming, fitness equipment, summer camps, art workshops, and youth sports teams. The latter is a yearly hot air balloon event centered around a 5K footrace. Residents can volunteer to take part in the early morning balloon launches, the evening glow event, or race in the 5K.
